A reply was sent as soon as Agnes received it on the evening of the first.

My dearest Frances,

I am both delighted and intrigued by your invitation - a scientific novelty, indeed! Whilst I cannot claim to profess much knowledge in that area I am sure it shall be well-worth seeing you for it, although I do hope we shall see each other before the fifth!

Your devoted friend,

Agnes

Alex's reply wasn't received until the 3rd, as he was too busy being sick the first and second.

Dear Mistress Frances,

I would be delighted. Thank you for your kind invitation. As ever, I remain,

Your humble servant,
Alexander Everhart

No response from Lord Farrington. Word reached her that he had left Windsor early. Something about a patient in need of Doctor Keene.

Duncan and Ophelia RSVPed in the positive (or more correctly, Ophelia did).

Dear Miss Frances,

Thank you for the invitation. Unfortunately, I shall be otherwise engaged. Hopefully, I shall earn another opportunity to witness this scientific novelty.

Your Servant,
Charles Whitehurst

Early afternoon on the 5th another reply wound its way to the room of Mistress Frances.

My dear Mistress Frances,

Do forgive the tardiness of my reply, matters of some urgency quite demanded my presence in London. Why, only this very morning have I arrived back in Windsor and I should be most delighted to dine with you this very evening.

Affectionately,

IdV
