To Reverend Whitacker; arrives 19th April

Postby Hope » Wed Jul 28, 2010 9:26 am

It was not by deliberate intention that the letter arrived upon the Lords day. Serendipity perhaps?

Dear FatherWhitacker ,
I wonder if you might see time to
visit the Saint Georges Inn of
Chelsea, as I have an offer I wish
to propose to you.

Yours sincerely
Mr Snell

Will wasn't sure about this, not having heard of the gentlemen in question. As he prepared himself to go to the Archbishop's funeral, he would look into the reputation of this inn and it's owner before stopping by. Still, he would leave a return note for him out of courtesy.

Dear Mr. Snell,

Unfortunately my obligations for the next few days leave me with little to work with until the 22nd. Might I inquire the nature of this offer?

With Regards,
Reverend Whitaker

A reply arrived the following day

20th April

Reverend
The 22nd suits well enough,
I would prefer to address
the subject in person.
Yours
G. Snell
