A true giant of a man, Adam bears his 6'7 proudly, his muscled form easily standing out in a crowd. While one may expect a man of his height to be a but clumsy and a slow moving, Adam is anything but that. Graceful and agile, the Scotsman at times looks like a giant cat ready to pounce its prey, smiling that impertinent half-smile of his that spoke of arrogance that was not truly there. Impertinent for sure, cocky always, but never arrogance, Adam lacking the feeling of superiority to others and lack of respect needed for true arrogance.
Not overly fond of wigs, his raven black hair is worn short, slightly ruffled and in a slight disarray at all times. It makes him look a bit rough around the edges, but never sloppy, as it is never tangled, but merely never arranged into anything resembling a hairdo. A thin, slightly crooked nose bears a slight scar over its bridge, a faintly visible white line just between his brown eyes. Clean shaven at all times, Adam's skin bears a slight tan from exposure to sun, the Scotsman veyr fond of outdoors and no stranger to physical hardship.
Despite his size and muscles, the Scotsman has quite supple hands, his fingers long and almost fragile-looking, his hands covered in a rather peculiar pattern of small scars as if they had been cut dozens of times over the years. Once given to wearing a pair of gloves to hide those from others, he has given up on it and now wears gloves only when needed, not caring if his scars draw attention to his hands, though his habit of holding a person's gaze with his eyes when he talks does a good job of preventing such from happening.
Coming from a rather humble background to begin with, Adam is still quite proud of it and shows it in both his bearing and in his manner. Bearing a reputation of a womanizer, it is true that he likes company of women, but he is nowhere near a rake as those rumors would make him to be. He will tease and make women blush, but he will also spoil and pamper them with attention, without expecting anything in return. Not quite trusting, he believes that people often will feel the need to respond in kind to his niceness, and so far his tactic has worked admirably well. Kisses and more were often rewards for his efforts and he has never refused such a thanks.
His past has taught him another lesson and that was that nothing is ever free and that thought has governed his life so far. He prefers to earn everything he owns and will never accept a gift that leaves him indebted to someone he does not trust implicitly. Given that he trusts only a few people outside of his immediate family, that is not likely to ever happen. Though, he does follow a certain code of honor, he is quite flexible in his pursuits and will shy away from little to accomplish his goals. Highly protective of those he loves, there is a a very dark part of him he holds hidden that emerges only when those he cares for are in danger.
Adam MacGregor, Scottish Earl of Alyth and husband to an acknowledged Royal Mistress, is known as a tough, ruggedly handsome man that nonetheless impresses by his innocent loyal air and his charming playfulness. Perhaps he needs to be, to accept the cards dealt to him by Fate.
Adam is currently married to Catriona MacGregor
When in London, he and his family reside in Pall Mall.
