Physical Attributes
He often appears angelic to those who first see him, with lustrous blond hair and soft, hazel eyes. He is quite handsome as well, just shy of being considered very tall, at only 5'10".
Initial Impression of Personality
Charles has no taste for politics but has a reputation of being a wit. Something in his character made his follies less obnoxious to the citizens than those of the other rakes, for he was never altogether unpopular.
Background
Charles Sackville, 1st Earl of Middlesex is an English poet and courtier, son of the 5th Earl of Dorset. Charles is another member of the Merry Gang, but his participation in their exploits is always looked on with more leniency, sometimes irritating the others of their group. He was a generous patron of men of letters, supporting among others John Dryden.
During the summer of 1675, Middlesex married, keeping his wife in the country while he attended Court in September. Sadly his wife died in November, and Middlesex comes to Windsor a widower.
Cousin to John Sheffield and George Villiers.
Residence
When in London, Charles lives in Piccadilly Street.
