Q. Do I need to keep track of money?
A. Yes and No.
No, because for the day to day expenses you can simply assume you have enough money if you stick to the limits of your Wealth Level. Yes, because if you want to live above that Wealth Level, or want to invest in some way, you need to keep track of the big expenses in your ledger.
There will be a place to do this within your Player Compendium. You do not need to account for every last penny but you will need to have a rough estimate on hand. You can go into the red - but expect repercussions if you stay in debt too long without having taken steps to cover it, such as shops demanding your account is paid, moneylenders that start to bring pressure etc.
