Our new season is now open: Spring 1677 !
Doing his best to paint her as insane, Louis spoke with her estranged husband and collected documents from him and his family doctor that Amelia was insane. Second, he visited the Warden of Bedlam prison to make sure that she would be kept in solitary confinement, where she could speak to no one. Then, utilizing his gang of amoral drinking companions of the past, he waited for her to show up at the chapel again. When she did, she was arrested by his men and hauled away to prison ... there to be forgotten and die.
In the Christmas season a baby was delivered to the Basildon suit, claiming it was Louis baby by Amelia Matterby. The child did look remarkably like his father. The child was send to the Basildon estate to be discretely raised there, his wife convincing Louis it was better not to have his own bastards as enemies at his back but rather used as a tool in future. The child was given the last name FitzEdward.
