Our new season is now open: Spring 1677 !
I'd like to know more about other PCs.
Q. In the wiki there are the Biographies. It has information about player characters and NPC’s there but does not say anything about their background or secrets. Why? I want to know everything I can about them!
A. Age of Intrigue is a game of conspiracies and secrets. This is a game where you live and experience intrigue in the truest sense, not knowing is an important aspect of the game. You must learn all you can about your fellow players through play using cunning and avarice.
What kind of general information does my character know?
All nobles are taught know how to dance (unless it is their anti-skill), to read and write, and may be versed with general knowledge of the prominent persons of the times as well as recent history.
You cannot use out of character (OOC) knowledge to gain an In character (IC) advantage. For example, you may have know that the Earl ____ ‘s mistress is pregnant because you read it in another characters thread, but your character cannot use this information until they discover it for themselves in the game.
If you believe that your character may know how to achieve something based on their skills, or should be armed with some information make a note of it and a moderator will let you know if and what you know. Resist the temptation to jump to conclusions or very cleverly observe things that normally your character would not note at all. This is game of secrets and it ruins the fun of the game if you force your way to gain an advantage.
