Foreign Language

A foreign language is any language not of one's own tongue. Competence in one's mother-tongue is a given skill. A gentleperson will also have some knowledge of French, and either Latin or Greek. If you are a foreigner you may select English as the language you have some limited knowledge of instead of French.

To be fluent (i.e. talented) in a foreign language, however, one must have this as a particular skill.

Examples of languages:

• French
• Italian
• Spanish
• Dutch
• German
• Portuguese
• Russian
• Gaelic
• Arabic

Languages not listed may be acceptable, depending upon circumstances. Being gifted in this skill might bring more languages with it.
